Citadel is a leading set of Chambers conveniently situated in the modern heart of Birmingham, immediately opposite the Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts.    Our members and staff are committed to maintaining high professional standards, whilst adopting a flexible and progressive approach to the demands of modern legal practice.

Citadel has acquired a strong reputation defending and prosecuting in criminal proceedings, but Chambers is able to offer first class advocacy in all types of Court, tribunal or other arena in which effective representation is required.   The large criminal team, which covers the full range of criminal work, is complemented by teams in other areas of practice - licensing, contentious civil costs and general common law.   Chambers has a wealth of experience in a wide range of regulatory matters : trading standards, environmental law, health and safety, consumer law and VAT / revenue appeals. Individual members have their own particular areas of expertise, including actions against the police, asylum and immigration, prison law, employment and family work.   A significant number of members of Chambers hold part-time judicial appointments.
